This is a Hidden Gem for us. This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. The best Fried Green Tomatoes. I honestly just want the Tomatoes for my side from now on. Rib tips were delicious. Had an Old Fashioned and our waiter made it and did a great job. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in St. Charles for BBQ.

Being in town for the week for a dance competition we wanted to start off with a unique place to eat and couldn’t have been more happy. Hendricks BBQ, located in the old St. Charles Municipal Water Works just off of the Missouri River, was a fantastic choice. The building and art work was simply beautiful and the food was top notch. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all great especially their smoked hot wings. If you’re looking for somewhere is St. Charles with great food and great atmosphere look no further than Hendricks!

Not the most magical food I've ever eaten, but between the selection (entrees, apps, sides), staff, atmosphere, and craft beer selection, I'm very, very happy with my experience here. Would be a great place to socialize with friends. We got the fried pickles, big meat burger and the whole shebang and mixed bread basket (not pictured). Sides were collard greens, mac n cheese, onion rings, and the baked sweet potato. The meat was perfectly cooked on everything, but the bacon was weird ????????

I’ve been coming here for more than 10 years and it was always good. When people came in town I always took them here. Fast forward to now. I haven’t been in about 2 years. I was soooo disappointed. The cornbread tastes like it came out of a box and was cold. Super dry, small, crumbly, and isn’t served with apple butter anymore. The pulled pork nachos had brisket in them and it was completely cold. The lemonade is no longer homemade but from the soda machine. There was no soap in the bathroom and the overall mood in the restaurant was low. There was hardly anyone there on a Sunday afternoon when they usually would have been slammed. To the new business owners: this place has great potential if you return to how it’s always been - homemade food with great recipes and a clean atmosphere. Salt + Smoke is right down the street and you will lose all of your business to them very soon if this place doesn’t change either back to how it was or to a new and better version of what I experienced today.

Met the owner. Super chill man. The deck was a great dog friendly venue. The food was great. We had bar b que ribs and tips. The aides were great mac and cheese greens and French fries. The bar was the best. Great whiskey selection and very generous pours.
